Cairo: Egyptian actress Entissar, who has caused a big star in the conservative country for defending porn films, has been referred to court on charges of inciting debauchery, legal sources said on Wednesday.
The trial at the Nasr City Misdemeanour Court in Cairo will start on November 10, the sources added.

The trial comes in response to a legal complaint filed by a pro-state group against Entissar accusing her of promoting immorality and depravity.
Last week, the 44-year-old actress called on young people, who cannot afford the high costs of marriage, to watch porn films.
“He who fears falling into a [sexual] sin prohibited by religion can cool down by watching porn films,” she said on a TV show

“These films are useful for men, especially those who have no pre-marriage sex experience,”Entissar added on “Nafsana” (Giving Vent to Feelings”, a show she co-hosts on the private TV station Al Qahera Wal Nas.
Entissar, who is a Muslim mother, admitted to have watched porn films, rejecting any bid to block sex websites or TV stations.
Her remarks have brought her under scathing criticism and triggered several lawsuits against her.

The latest suit was filed on Wednesday by lawyer Samir Sabry, who requested Entissar’s show be halted.

Entissar, famous for comic roles in local TV serials and films, was not available for comment.
Her trial is the latest for entertainers charged with inciting debauchery, an offence punishable in Egypt by up to a year in prison.
